Extended Hours Hub

The Enhanced Access service initiative aims to standardise access to routine healthcare services across England by requiring Primary Care Networks (PCNs) by offering appointments during extended hours that are available outside of normal GP Practices operating hours.

Benefits to Patients:

  • Improved Access: Patients can book appointments outside traditional hours, making it easier for those with work or caregiving responsibilities.
  • More Choice: A mix of face-to-face and remote consultations allows patients to choose what suits them best.
  • Broader Services: Enhanced Access includes routine care, screenings, and vaccinations, delivered by a wider range of professionals.
  • Reduced Inequality: The service is designed to minimise disparities in access across different patient groups.
  • Local Flexibility: PCNs can tailor services to meet the specific needs of their communities, ensuring relevance and responsiveness.

Our PCN offers early morning, late evening and weekend appointments with GPs, nurses and healthcare assistants:

  • Early morning appointments are available from 07:00 to 08:00.
  • Evening appointments are available from 18:30 to 20:00
  • Saturday appointments are available from 08:00 to 16:30

You can book these appointments using either your practice website or calling your practice direct.
